Rhys grew up on Scotland Island in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and lives in Newport with his wife, Hannah, and border collie, Paddy. He attended Newport Primary School and Pittwater High School, and received his Bachelor of Speech Pathology from Australian Catholic University. Throughout his professional career, he has completed many advanced training programs including VitalStim Therapy, PROMPT Therapy, Oral Placement Therapy, Sensory Motor Feeding Therapy, and more. His desire to become a Speech Pathologist stemmed from being raised by two parents working in the health industry. The ability to communicate clearly, with correct grammar, fluently, with a full and healthy voice, as well as the capacity to safely enjoy a meal and drink is something that many of us take for granted. In this profession, Rhys feels fortunate enough to be able to assist individuals who may experience difficulties executing these fundamental human practices.
Outside of work, Rhys loves going on walks with his wife and dog, watching movies/TV shows, listening to music, reading books, and enjoying a passion for rugby (league & union).
